CPD Guidelines for Core CPD Activity Providers

CEA is currently updating the CPD guidelines for the new CPD framework. A new set of CPD guidelines will be introduced for use from 1 Oct 2019.

To ensure effectiveness of the CPD Scheme, learning activities for core subjects must be relevant and provide real value to the individual salespersons as well as to the industry. All providers seeking to conduct core CPD activities will need to obtain prior approval from CEA. Activities that do not meet the criteria will not be approved and cannot be claimed as a CPD core-subject activity.

In developing CPD activity for core subjects, activity providers should customise every course to meet the specific needs of salespersons in their professional development. Providers should not bundle course content of core subjects with that of non-core subjects as far as possible.
