Personal data protection

The Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), in consultation with CEA, has developed a set of guidelines to address the unique circumstances faced by the real estate agency industry in complying with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). 

Estate agencies (EAs) and real estate salespersons (RESs) should familiarise themselves with the Advisory Guidelines for the Real Estate Agency Sector and the Introduction to the Guidelines on the PDPA website. 

We encourage EAs and RESs to familiarise themselves with other advisory guidelines on the PDPA, including:

• Advisory Guidelines on Key Concepts in the PDPA 

• Advisory Guidelines on the Do Not Call Provisions 

• Advisory Guidelines on Requiring Consent for Marketing Purposes
