Guidance on estate agency work

CEA has issued CEA Notice 12-22 (PDF, 240KB) on 22 April 2022 to provide guidance to estate agents (EAs) and real estate salespersons (RESs) on the conduct of real estate agency work as we transition into a COVID-19 resilient nation, from 26 April 2022 onwards. This follows the Multi-Ministry Taskforce’s announcement on 22 April 2022.

Continuing Professional Development courses

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training remains a priority.

Where practicable, course providers may continue to conduct CPD courses online.

In-person CPD classes, if conducted must adhere with the latest safe management measures for the workplace and/or training sites, stipulated by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Real Estate Salespersons Examinations

For updates on the RES examinations and registration period in 2022, please visit the RES Examination web page. The schedule is subject to change should there be any escalation in the COVID-19 pandemic or any unforeseen event that presents risks to public health and safety.

CEA continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and will put in place Safe Management Measures in line with prevailing requirements to safeguard the safety of candidates and personnel.

Real Estate Salesperson and Real Estate Agency Courses

Approved course providers are strongly encouraged to continue conducting RES and REA courses via online learning and virtual classrooms.

In-person RES and REA classes, if conducted must adhere with the latest safe management measures for the workplace and/or training sites, stipulated by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Estate Agent licence and Real Estate Salesperson registration matters

CEA continues to process Estate Agent (EA) licence and Real Estate Salesperson (RES) registration applications.

The payment for 2022 EA licence and RES registration fees are to be done through GIRO, or by online payment upon request to CEA.

For newly approved EAs, payment for the EA licence fee is strictly by online payment only.
