Get Ready for the Renewal Exercise Starting 1 October 2022

newSep 2022 - 3 min read

CEA will be conducting this year’s annual licence and registration renewal exercise for Estate Agents (EAs) and Real Estate Salespersons (RESs) from 1 October to 30 November 2022.

Here are the things you need to note to ensure that you are ready to take part in the renewal exercise:

1. Fulfil your Central Provident Fund (CPF) MediSave contribution by 30 September 2022

All RESs, including Key Executive Officers (KEOs), Practising Directors and Practising Partners, must fulfil their CPF MediSave contributions by ensuring that their MediSave payable sum is met before they can take part in the renewal exercise.

You can check your CPF MediSave fulfilment status on your personal dashboard by logging into Advanced Estate Agencies System (ACEAS) e-Services [1] for Individual. Alternatively, you can check your outstanding MediSave contribution status, make full/partial payments or apply GIRO by logging onto CPF Board’s Self-employment dashboard using your Singpass. You may also “Check your outstanding Medisave Liabilities and Payment Status” on CPF Board’s website.

Those in need of financial support may approach the CPF Board to work out an instalment plan to pay for this year’s MediSave contributions. To do so, you may submit an “Appeal for Instalment Payments by Self-Employed Persons” on the CPF Board’s website. Alternatively, you may contact the CPF Board at 1800-227-1188 or email the CPF Board at self-employed@cpf.gov.sg.

There is no need for you to show proof of CPF MediSave payment to CEA. Once your MediSave contribution requirements are fulfilled, the CPF Board will directly update CEA for the renewal of your registration for 2023.

[1] The CPF MediSave fulfilment status will be updated every one working day.

2. Fulfil your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) cycle requirements by 30 September 2022

All RESs, including KEOs, Practising Directors and Practising Partners, must fulfil the minimum of 6 credits for their 2022 CPD requirements by 30 September 2022 before they can take part in the renewal exercise.  Of the 6 CPD credits, at least 4 credits must be from courses related to Professional Competencies and 2 credits must be from courses related to Generic Competencies.

You can check your CPD fulfilment status on your personal dashboard by logging into ACEAS e-Services[2] or via My CPD Portal.

Professional Competency CPD courses

For the list of upcoming Professional Competency CPD courses, please visit the CPD Course Directory.

Generic Competency CPD courses

For Generic Competency CPD courses, KEOs can assess and decide on the relevance of the courses taken by their RESs, and ensure that the award of CPD credits for Generic Competencies comply with CEA's requirements as set out in the CPD Guidelines.

RESs are to seek their KEO’s approval for the award of CPD credits for courses under Generic Competencies.

[2] The CPD fulfilment status will be updated every two working days.

3. Update any changes to your details in the Profile page in ACEAS

For EAs

Please update any changes to your company’s details via ACEAS e-Services for Corporate. No action is required of you if there are no changes. This ensures that the latest details are pre-populated into your licence renewal application.

For RESs (including KEOs, Practising Directors and Practising Partners)

Please update any changes to your individual details in the Profile page via ACEAS e-Services for Individual. No action is required of you if there are no changes. This ensures that the latest details are pre-populated into your registration or Director/Partner renewal application.

4. Submit your renewal application between 1 October and 30 November 2022 (for licence and registration renewal)
