Checklist for rental of HDB flats
You are encouraged to go through the Checklist for Landlord for Renting of HDB Flat (PDF, 249KB) before entering into a tenancy agreement with a tenant.
We recommend that you exercise due diligence when renting out your property, e.g., conduct regular checks to ensure that your property is not misused or illegally altered by your tenants.
Tenancy agreement template for HDB flats
If you require a tenancy agreement sample or template, you can refer to our Tenancy Agreement Template for HDB Flats (PDF, 401KB).
This template is just a guide and is not compulsory. It is aimed at protecting the interest of both landlords and tenants by including clauses relating to the main aspects of a tenancy for parties to negotiate, while providing flexibility by allowing additional clauses to be included.
Both landlord and tenants are free to negotiate the terms and conditions of the tenancy before entering into a tenancy agreement.
Note:
CEA will not be able to act on disputes that do not involve a property agency or a property agent.
You can consider mediation at a Community Mediation Centre (CMC), Small Claims Tribunal (SCT), or take your own legal action.
