Enhanced CEA Website and Public Register Enable Consumers to Make Better-Informed Decisions when Engaging Property Agents
10 June 2026
Find out more about the latest enhancements to the CEA Public Register, which provides consumers with the licensing and registration details of any property agency and property agent.

Buying or selling a home is one of the most significant financial decisions most people will make. Many persons engage a property agent to help them navigate this process. Understanding the background and track record of the property agents, and the property agency they are from, will help consumers make informed decisions on which property agent to engage.
The CEA Public Register
Since its establishment in 2010, CEA has worked to raise the professionalism of the real estate agency industry and equip consumers with the knowledge and tools they need when engaging property agents to support them with property transactions.
One important tool for consumers has been the CEA Public Register, which provides consumers with the licensing and registration details of any property agency and property agent. By accessing the Public Register, consumers are able to view the records of residential property transactions completed by property agents in the past 36 months, as well as enforcement actions taken against individual agents.
New Enhancements from 10 June 2026
From 10 June 2026, CEA will enhance our publication of enforcement actions taken against property agencies and agents on the CEA website and Public Register. This will better enable consumers to take a property agency or agent’s disciplinary record into account before engaging them.
Enforcement actions include Letters of Censure, Disciplinary Committee Action, and Court Prosecution actions taken from 2023 to 2025. Enforcement actions are attributed to the property agency with which the agent was registered at the time when the breaches were committed. The CEA website and Public Register will be updated to display information for the past three years on a rolling basis.
Beyond enforcement records, consumers can also view the awards received by property agents in their profile page.
“As part of our efforts to raise professionalism of the real estate agency industry and empower consumers, CEA is providing more information on the enforcement actions taken against property agencies and agents on our website. Consumers should check an agent’s record before engaging their services. CEA urges property agencies to continue strengthening the supervision of their agents to raise the professional standards of the industry,” said Mr Chan Khar Liang, Executive Director of CEA.
Details of the new features of the CEA website and Public Register:
A consolidated record of enforcement actions taken against individual property agencies and agents
The new “Past Enforcement Actions” page allows consumers to see all enforcement actions taken against property agencies and agents in the past three years.
The following mock-ups of the webpage show how the information is presented for property agencies (indicated as “Estate Agents”) and property agents (indicated as “Salespersons”). Consumers are also able to view details of specific enforcement action taken against property agencies and agents by clicking on the “Show Details” link.

Key enforcement statistics of the real estate agency industry
The new “Key Enforcement Statistics” page shows a full listing of the number and type of enforcement actions taken against property agents from all property agencies in the past three years.
The listing shows the number of enforcement actions taken against property agents from each property agency, as well as the total number of property agents registered with the agency. Showing such information will allow consumers to do a comparison of the number of enforcement actions taken against property agents across property agencies of different sizes.

An enhanced profile page for property agencies showing details of enforcement actions taken against their agents
Under the new tab “Enforcement Action(s) Taken” in each property agency’s profile page, consumers can view details of the number and type of enforcement actions taken against their property agents in the past three years.
