Applying for a Course
CEA requires all new entrants to take a compulsory REA/ RES exam preparatory
course before taking the respective examinations. Please note that only
courses provided by CEA Approved Course Providers will be recognised for
licensing/ registration purposes.
If you are an existing salesperson registered with CEA and have yet to pass an industry exam before 31 Dec 2010, you will not be required but are encouraged to take the exam preparatory courses before registering to take the REA/ RES examination.

Course Requirement for New Entrants:
New entrants must meet the educational qualification of at least 4 GCE
"O" Level passes or equivalent, which is one of the regulatory requirements
for salespersons.
Applicants having other qualifications (eg. overseas qualifications or
private diplomas etc.) will need to have their qualifications assessed
by CEA for purpose of determining whether the educational qualification
requirement is met. They may submit scanned copies (limit to 5Mb maximum)
of their qualifications together with the
Request Form
via e-mail to the Approved Course Provider which they are interested to
enrol for the course.
Applicants who have attained Level 5 and above for the Workplace Literacy
and Numeracy (WPLN) assessment in these 5 components (Reading, Listening,
Speaking, Writing and Numeracy) will be recognised in lieu of 4 GCE "O"
