Code of Practice for Estate Agents

The Code of Practice for Estate Agents is established under the Estate Agents (Estate Agency Work) Regulations 2010 and will come into force on 15 November 2010. The rules in the Code shall apply to all licensed estate agents.

The Code covers:

 i. Management and supervision
 ii. Estate Agent Card
 iii. Claims and complaints
 iv. Retention of documents and records

The Code is part of the Estate Agents (Estate Agency Work) Regulations 2010 and must be read in conjunction with the Estate Agents Act 2010 and any practice circulars or guidelines issued by CEA from time to time. Click here to download the Estate Agents (Estate Agency Work) Regulations 2010.
